Responce to feedback

After reading our feedback from the other group. We think there are some useful comments and others that are less specific and therefore of less use to us. When they refer to gestures within the performance and the actual walking shots to be improved we can take from this that they are fair comments as they have considered the details of the shots.

Music video project - final/more feedback

Anpther class watched our video and left feedback here is what they said:

Genre -

Camerawork -
Good variety of shots like the walking shot however it was not as good as others. overall good camera work.

Throughout simple cuts are used. Cuts could have followed better when tempo is increased.

Peach symbol on shirt is effective as it suits the song but we dont keep up its consistancy.
use of white background is effective
the random locations work well
the guitar is a good touch

Special effects -
Greenscreen works very well
animations represent lyrics well
the black and white tones fit the video and music

Performance & Mise En Scene
The performances conrast each other and the two peformers (Sabil & Jack) bring a certain vibe to the performance as one is very still/immboile whereas the other is moving about a lot and the two combined fit well into the shots.

Lip Syncing
some words missing in lip sync

Narrative/Abstract
no comments

Editing, Camerawork, Special Effects
Black and white fit the song; good contrast between chorus and verse; good layout of shot on balcony bit

Editing, The Final Stages

After uploading all of our footage finally we got cracking with the editing, Rhys was the head man on the macs and is has been doing a great job so far, we started by getting all of our shots in line with one another then we began to mix and match the shots in with each other and creating clean cuts between the different shots, when used a wide variety of shots within the video and when the pace speeds up in the song the cuts are faster, we have managed to get footage in for the whole song, 4 minutes ...or however long it is.

all that is needed to do now is apply the filters to every shot , we plan to make the whole video in black and white which we feel will look good but will also be more suitable than if it were in colour, the pace of the song and the thingsmentioned within suggest a more chilled down, serious approach than a fast paced all colour video, applying these filters is very time consuming and it will take a long time to render all of the movie once we've completed it.
